Belgian War Lace tablecover

24" diameter, lace depth 6" to 8.5"
Very good condition. Occasional broken bride in the figural work.  Fold creases. 

This piece is very similar to the Belgian_pieced_tablecover_1, which is a War Lace piece.  Here the figures appear to be of a family with children and a dog. The hexagonal ground is the same as that used in the War Lace piece, but is not used in the floral work Instead, a double plaited bride with picoted loops as decoration is used.  There is also no embroidery in the center cloth.
The work in this piece is so similar to the War Lace tablecover that it is probably they were made in the same area.
